Our story

Aponjon Joutho Samabay is the brainchild of a social media group called Aponjon. Let us start with the beginning of Aponjon. About 15 years ago, some people thought of Getting Out of Their Way to get the response of the world in the middle of their heart. For this they wanted to walk together with mutual support by forming alliances with each other. They understood; It will take a lot of time to get real results if you work alone to achieve a greater interest. So, they started a unique practice called Communion.

The continuous practice of walking the path tied to each other is still going on today. And the result of this continuous practice is a larger social family or collective stage whose costume name is Aponjon. In the beginning, people started responding through educational work, but gradually they realized that to really respond to the call of society, the two things that need to be given the most importance are Health and Lifestyle. 

But for the basic needs of good Health & Lifestyle is Good Food. Now it becomes very difficult to find out the answer What is Good Food?Specially in the situation after the green revolution, when Food production increased substantially but at a very high cost not just for humans but also for the environment. The increase was not just due to more new areas were covered under cultivation but primarily due to the high use of chemical fertilizer and pesticides. Thus, crops produced were becoming very harmful for consumption which leads to increase in diseases like cancer, kidney failure, birth defects to name a few. Also, long term use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides result in damage to the land, ultimately making it less and at places even non fertile. Another very harmful effect due to excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides is ground water contamination, making it unfit for human consumption.

Some like minded people from Aponjon group, take an initiative to find the answer of Good Food which will help to build up a Harmonic Lifestyle. During this continuous thinking process, a golden opportunity has come in the beginning of year 2018 to put the thought into action. Bio Diverse came forward with it’s 17 years of rich experience in Bio-Farming technology to produce safe food products by harmonizing nature and human practice to hold the hand of Aponjon. 

The work of writing a new history by combining the experience of Bio divers and the human chain of Aponjon has been going on since 2nd October 2018 under the vision of Cooperative Principle of Rabindra Nath Tagore. He told “Imagine if all of our small farmers farmed their land collectively, stored their produce in a common facility and sold them through a common mechanism. Only then can we prevent profiteering; only then can the farmer recoup the legitimate value of her labor”. As a whole our primary objective is HEALTH IS WEALTH for all and SUSTAINABILITY for producers and the environment. Then we can only achieve a Harmonic Lifestyle.   

We will move forward together. Let our capital be the effort to establish the ideal of Collectivity in our Community.

With the passage of time, the co-operative will become successful only when the coordination within these five sections of the co-operative is completed.
